Six Of The Extreme Travel Adventures You Can Do In 2023
Would you plan your dream vacation to be something you would enjoy? Are you more inclined to spend your time relaxing on the beach or exploring historical places? Are you more prone to travel for adventure or relaxation? We've all heard the buzz about adventurous getaways - whether you're traveling with your partner or friends or planning a good solo trip with tour manager companies. Imagine being lost in the incredible mountains or visiting an amazing national park or sanctuary. Leave a trip with friends feeling satisfied, and with a sense of adrenaline rush, you must plan an adventure trip.
When you're away from home, it feels like you're free! It helps to say "live in the moment" and "enjoy each day as if it were your last," but when you have a full-time job or studying schedule, who has time to do all that? It's funny how clichés become normal in a foreign setting and not merely overused phrases that everyone aspires to achieve but isn't successful in achieving. There is a freedom that comes with traveling alone, far from home, far away from responsibilities, and far from normal duties. You can live in the present, basking in the freedom of the moment, and do things that seem inconceivable in real life! Take a look at 06 breathtaking extreme travel adventures and plan your dream vacation!
1. Skydive – Australia
There are many cool spots for skydiving in Australia, but it is not exclusive to any part of the world. While we recommend the above skydive from Wollongong (close to Sydney), we can also recommend Mission beach skydiving (near Cairns), which offers freediving from 15000 ft above the Great Barrier Reef! You get to see amazing views from a bird's eye view if you can keep your eyes open and don't swear too much - what could be better? To trick your parents, you can also record your skydive and let them watch it live on video chat if you're as devious as us!
2. World's highest cliff jump - Queenstown, NZ
I guess it is better to jump off the highest cliff in the world if you do a cliff jump. On top of an intense adrenaline rush, you can also expect stunning views and plenty of other adventurers to encourage you along the way. We challenged travelers staying in Queenstown's Nomads Hostel to take the plunge. Watch what happened.
3. Full Moon Party + Fire Limbo – Koh Phangan
It's quite the accomplishment to get through Koh Phangan's Full Moon Party! The winner is the one who avoids the deadly buckets, mushroom shakes, and an island inhabited by pumped-up lunatics. If you have a thing for fire, then you may find it difficult to resist limboing, skipping, or diving through a fire-coated hoop, to outdo the locals. There's no reason you shouldn't be able to beat the ultra-bendy Thai men if you get carried away with thinking you have superhuman powers. Just plan your dream vacation.
4. Surf in Jeffreys Bay – South Africa
Travelling and surfing are synonymous. If you have ever been away from home and ended up in a beach town, you have probably tried surfing. You can often see the oceans from the shore as huge and murky as they look. Even from the board, you begin to wonder what creatures are looking at you as they think, 'hmm tasty.' I'm talking about sharks this time. Humans started coexisting with sharks millions of years ago. Coconuts land on human heads more often than sharks do, resulting in more human deaths. Jeffrey's Bay in South Africa is famous for its surf (rocked by the cult surf film Endless Summer), but you are thrashing around like a seal in a shark's domain. The thrill of catching your first wave is unsurpassed! Plan your dream vacation!!
5. Water Rappelling – Costa Rica
You can repel or abseil either way; it involves dangling from a rock face or majestically bouncing down it. There is virtually nothing different about water-rappelling, except you reflect down waterfalls in a Spiderman style. Costa Rica's best water-rappelling sites can be seen on Celebrity Survivor, hosted by Bear Grylls. It does take some practice, but you can do it without any previous experience! As you are clipped to the zipline by your back, you can view the rainforest in superman style (1.5km) while in Costa Rica.
6. Bungee, Canyon Swing, Hang-Gliding, etc. – New Zealand
A common New Zealander hobby is to jump from high places. New Zealand is a great choice if you're going bungee jumping. There are so many stomach-churning activities to enjoy in Queenstown that your budget and nerves will strain. When I hear the "I wouldn't bungee because I don't like being upside-down," I see the Canyon Swing as a better alternative. It's only 200 meters high, and the guys don't wreak havoc on your mind! Just plan your dream vacation with the best tour manager companies.
